What We Do

Analyze – Monitor local, regional and national fire and burn incidence trends and data to identify populations at greatest risk; major causes of injuries to specific populations; emerging fire and burn hazards; and legislative needs for creating more fire-safe communities.

Develop – Specific educational interventions that address the fire and burn risks to specific, high-risk populations.

Implement – Deliver these interventions through created and existing community education networks to reach the maximum percentage of targeted persons.

Evaluate – Validate all of our educational programs and messages to verify that they are producing positive results in terms of increased awareness of burn hazards and prevention practices.

Advocate –Educate lawmakers and legislators about issues that provide effective fire safety and burn prevention protection to citizens.

Support – The unmet needs of burn survivors and their families and research on scar physiology and treatment to improve outcomes and relieve pain.
